A Café Reader Review: Double Almond Paleo Granola

Hi, Reader!

Hi [FIRST NAME GOES HERE]!

I'll be honest with you: unlike Chris, who is always dreaming up something new in the kitchen, when I find a recipe that just works, I stick with it. No experimenting, no tweaking, no searching for the next best thing. And this Double Almond Paleo Granola has earned its permanent spot in my rotation.

Although no one in my family follows a Paleo diet, this is the only granola we keep around (I mean...something all 4 kids like? yes please!). It tastes incredible, and it happens to be made from wholesome, real ingredients- a combination that’s hard to beat.

And, if you make it in big batches, you can tuck a bag in the freezer, and refill your jar whenever it runs low. It's wonderful eaten by the handful, but it truly shines as part of a yogurt parfait, layered with fresh fruit and a drizzle of honey. Yum.

But here's what I love even more: a jar of this granola has become one of my favorite things to give.

New neighbor moving in down the street? Granola.

A friend who could use a little cheer? Granola.

Someone recovering at home after a hospital stay? Granola.

It feels thoughtful and personal without requiring a single extra trip to the store, because I already have it on hand. That is the kind of effortless gift-giving I can get behind every time!

One of our lovely readers, Franca, said it perfectly:

I made this granola exactly as per the recipe. Super easy to make. It is so delicious that it should be illegal. This one's a keeper!

Haven't quite convinced you to give it a try? Keeping reading....

EXCELLENT RECIPE! My daughter is gluten and dairy free due to health issues and she really loved this. I am not fond of most of the gluten free recipes but this really was delicious. I am making it again and I love how easy it is and how quick it came together.

Yes, you were right, sooo delicious, like candy. We had it on yogurt, ice cream and just fruit.
Gave some away as a gift too! Labels would be nice for that too if you make them up some day, thank you!

These sweet words of encouragement are what keep us going here at The Café. So thank YOU 🤍

P.S. If you haven't yet, scroll down to the recipe post for all the tips on storing and freezing a big batch. Once you start making it this way, you will never go back!

A peek into our kitchen...the recipes our team makes again and again! To London, to London... As many of you know, in 2009 our not-so-little family packed up and headed across the pond, where we spent the next eight years living in London. 2009: Our 3yo, 2yo, 2mo old in front of Big Ben (safe to say this mama had her hands full!) Even though we've been back stateside for nearly 10 years, there are still funny little things we say and do because of those years abroad. Today’s Best Bites is...

Hi, Reader! “Yours is one of my go-to sites when I need something special.” Today’s email is going to be a little different from our usual newsy fare. No salad, dinner or ridiculously easy dessert today either. Instead, we wanted to pull back the curtain a bit and talk about something that’s changing quickly in our online world- and why it matters to those of us who love good food and dependable recipes enough to spend our days producing it....as well as you, dear reader. “The way you...
